Full report of the two-day class “Application of Smart Animal Husbandry in Cost Price” – December 12-13, Lavasan, Tehran

 

The specialized class “Application of Smart Animal Husbandry in Cost Price of Livestock Products” was held in Lavasan, Tehran, in cooperation with the Mostazafan Foundation and with the presence of financial managers, cost price officials, statistics and budget experts, and livestock experts on December 12-13.

This course was held with the aim of improving management knowledge and using modern financial analysis

More than 70 specialists and managers from various units of Pars Holding participated in this event, and key topics in the fields of cost management, simulation, artificial intelligence, and modern livestock technologies were discussed.

 

Application of Smart Animal Husbandry in Cost Price

Course Objectives

This workshop was designed with six main approaches:

  1. Introduction to smart animal husbandry and its applications
  2. Standardization of the cost calculation method in animal husbandry units
  3. Understanding smart tools and technologies in financial and performance analysis
  4. Empowering managers to make data-based decisions and simulate the future of business
  5. Introducing the new version of cost and understanding its differences with the previous version
  6. Introducing the new version of herd management software and its differences with the previous version

 

Specialized topics of the course

  1. Introduction to the concepts of smart animal husbandry and its applications in cost (Speaker: Managers Company)

In this section, participants were introduced to the following topics:

  • The role of artificial intelligence in analyzing animal behavior, milk production and herd health
  • The use of machine learning algorithms in cost prediction
  • The use of smart systems in optimizing feeding, reproductive management and health monitoring
  1. Training in calculating cost from zero to one hundred (Speaker: Managers Company)

This topic was one of the main parts of the workshop and included:

  • Introducing standard methods in the livestock industry
  • Explaining cost allocation models in production and fattening units
  • How to calculate fixed, variable, overhead, depreciation and opportunity costs
  • Examining common challenges of livestock units in determining the actual price of production

Next, real examples of livestock data were analyzed and a standard model for calculating cost was presented.

Participants were introduced to the following processes using simulation models:

  • Forecasting milk production, calving, culling and herd entry
  • Modeling different scenarios of feed, manpower and equipment costs
  • Analyzing the impact of climate change, nutrition and management policies on the cost price to calculate the next 18-month budget based on real data
  1. Presentation of smart livestock farming performance and introduction of new equipment (Speaker: Managers Company)

In this section, the latest industry technologies were introduced:

  • Introduction of a diverse range of sensors and directions for monitoring animal health and behavior
  • Intelligent ventilation, feeding and production management systems
  • Data analysis software and decision-making dashboards
  • Support for proposed projects
  • Support for startups
  • Creation of a specialized committee to follow up on the issues raised in the meeting

In this section, the latest status of livestock farming covered by Pars Holding was reviewed

  • Calculation of labor, material, and overhead coefficients based on the latest report by company
  • Review of the impact of cost on financial statements

Our mission is to significantly increase the accuracy of the country’s resource consumption in protein production
