Qazvin Becomes National Pilot for Dairy Cattle Herd Management Improvement Project
In line with the progress and improvement of the country’s livestock industry, Qazvin province was introduced as the national pilot for the dairy cattle herd management improvement project. This decision was made following a one-day visit to Qazvin province by Dr. Mehraban, head of the National Livestock Breeding Center, along with Eng. Kazemi, deputy head of the center. During this visit, Dr. Mehraban and his team visited the Qazvin Province Livestock Farmers’ Union and, while learning about the activities and services provided, exchanged views with local authorities and livestock managers on how to implement this national project.
At this meeting, which was also attended by representatives of Sepahan Managers and Analysts Company, the Smart Livestock Breeding Project was comprehensively introduced and the necessary studies for its implementation in Qazvin province were conducted. This project aims to improve the optimal management of dairy cattle herds in the country by using new technologies and employing smart tools.
The implementation of this plan in Qazvin province as a national model can serve as a successful model for other provinces and regions of the country and pave the way for a transformation in the country’s livestock industry. In this regard, the participation of livestock farmers’ unions and cooperatives is an important factor in the success of the plan. This smart livestock farming plan will not only help increase the growth and productivity of dairy herds, but it can also have a positive impact on the country’s livestock economy and improve the quality of livestock products.
