In this section, the synchronized estrus cycle is described as a vital factor affecting the pregnancy rate. The manipulation of the estrous cycle or induction of estrus brings a large percentage of a group of livestock into estrus at the same time. There are different methods, including heat synch, ovsynch, double ovsynch, cider, and etc. All of these methods are used in variant cases on the basis of veterinary physicians’ opinions. The aim of this article registers and reviews these protocols on Modiran software.

Estrus synchronization is an effective approach to induce a high percentage of livestock into estrus within a specified time range which is used around the world (Yilmazbas- Mecitoglu et al., 2014). In this regard, the main and lateral costs (such as drug costs) should be considered as essential factors and try to ensure the highest quality results with the lowest time and costs. (Stevenson et al., 2006). A successful estrus synchronization operation can reduce the duration of open days and prevent wasted time, pregnancy failure, and economic loss (Karami Shabankareh et al., 2010).

It is worth noting, accurate management has priority over the estrus synchronization method, which help to increase the pregnancy rate.

The results of the investigation have indicated that various factors such as season and herd conditions, affect in applying of different methods of synchronization. The Modiran software has complete information of protocol to better review, stronger management and the possibility of choosing a better method. Therefore, we decided to explain the process of gathering information in the software and introduce a report related to examining the pregnancy results of protocols in different seasons.

To register the reproduction protocol in the Modiran software, we follow the steps below. Next steps after registering of protocol, we enter the section “Livestock and operations”, collective operations, and select the desired livestock.

Then the user clicks on the send option and selects desired livestock into the protocol from the selected date. We check and perform the desired operation in the livestock section of the software. Various reports at different times help to further investigate pregnancy with different protocols. The figures of the created reports related to the title (number of livestock conceived according to the breeding protocol in different seasons) are presented below. This report will help to check executive protocol in each herd for choosing the best results in pregnancy.
